PHOENIX Rehab Group Singapore SMS Survey August 2014

A big thank you to all Phoenix Rehab Group Singapore Therapists as well as supporting Ops team. Without you, this could not be possible.

Phoenix Rehab Group Singapore did a recent SMS survey to follow up with existing and discharged clients (recent up to 1 year ago) who was treated in our clinics in Raffles Place and Orchard Road, to determine the level of outcomes following physiotherapy and rehabilitation treatments with us in Specialist Rehab Group Singapore.

SMSes was sent out to 1484 clients asking specifically about how they are doing now after receiving physiotherapy, hand therapy, Chinese Medicine, massage therapy etc with us, with reference to performance at work, sports and life in general.

We received 150 replies which we grouped the responses according to “Positive” and “Negative” outcomes.

  • Positive Outcomes” generally refer to clients having an improved outcome, be it less pain or better performance (further sub-categorized to “Good Outcomes”, “Great Outcomes” and “Awesome Outcomes” – definition below).

  • Negative Outcomes” refer to clients who still experience pain and discomfort

To be precise, I will define what it means to be categorized as “good”, “great” and “awesome” outcomes.

  • Good Outcomes” refer to clients achieving baseline of having no pain, but experiences the occasional but mild pain during a particular activity/exercise, but this pain doesn’t last long/insignificant

  • Great Outcomes” refer to clients achieving the same level of performance in their sports, work and life as before having the injury

  • Awesome Outcomes” refers to clients totally crushing/dominating high-intensity activities and exercises

Out of 150 clients who replied back to the SMS, 139 of them (92.67%) fall into this category of Good, Great and Awesome Outcomes.

Some of the examples of almost raw/semi-edited testimonials (by categories):

There is 11 out of 150 clients who reported outcomes that are classified under the “Negative Outcomes” category. “Negative Outcomes” refer to clients who still experience pain and discomfort.

Not quite, but I just find your service too expensive for the value received. I'm applying methods searched on Internet

Alamak you misdiagnosed. I got tennis elbow and need an injection to stop the swelling. On top of that cannot claim for you fee.

Still pains on upper knee

Hey Phoenix, the back pain still exists.

Of the 11 Negative Outcomes, 7 is related to frequency/number of sessions, 1 is an active patient, 1 is a mother to a young baby, 1 is related to price and 1 more is related to location inconvenience.

  • 3 clients came ONCE for treatment
  • 4 clients came infrequently e.g. 3-4 sessions over a 2-4 months period
  • 1 is still an active client, still receiving treatments from us and compliant
  • 1 found the location of Raffles Place and Orchard Road inconvenient so stopped coming
  • 1 felt we didn’t provide enough value, so stopped coming
  • 1 is a fairly compliant client, but has young baby – likely it’s taking care of baby (motherhood) that is aggravating/contributing to the continued pain

This survey is encouraging to several groups of individuals:

  • Clients, existing and future clients (patients), who can be at ease that such positive outcomes has been achieved with us (92.67% clients achieve good, great or awesome outcomes). However, there are exclusions to this, especially when the appointment frequency is inconsistent. Also, in some cases, prolonged pain may be contributed by other life events and responsibilities, of which, we will do our best to increase the recovery rate.

  • Phoenix Rehab Group Singapore, as our vision and dream as clinicians is to provide the best clinical-outcomes related physiotherapy and rehabilitation services solutions, on top of providing good experienc for our clients. We will continue to do our best to serve you and your loved ones =)
