Facial pain, although rare, can happen. They can be caused or linked to
conditions such as neck pain, stiff neck, pins and needles in the hand,
shoulder pains and aches. Some of the causes of face pain can due to soft
tissue injuries such as ligamental strain, pressure on a cervical nerve or a
muscle strain from the neck and back that travels and radiates to the face,
causing aches, pains, tenderness in the face.
Most of the time, facial pain are caused by awkward postures and positioning
of the back and neck that are sustained for a prolonged period, improper
lifting and handling of heavy objects, or even stressful moments such as losing
a job, losing a loved and important person or item in one’s life. When we are stressed,
especially over a prolonged period of time, it often cause one to have
tightened muscles, tight body posture, rapid breathing and clenched fists and
