Adele is a registered physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience. She has experience in treating national athletes as well as recreational athletes having worked in Singapore Sports Council and Singapore Sports Medicine Centre. She has developed a special interest in helping people with chronic and persistent pain especially back and neck pain.
She is currently an adjunct lecturer for the Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine at Nanyang Technological University, and she was previously a lecturer for the Diploma Physiotherapy Course at the Nanyang Polytechnic.
Adele believes that pain is a highly personal and individualized experience, and hence understanding and validating the person having the pain experience is an extremely important part of recovery and healing. She strongly believes in patients being empowered and having more confidence and trust in their bodies and themselves as part of the recovery process.
She combines the best practices of physiotherapy and pain coaching to provide an individualized approach to helping you recover and heal from persistent chronic pain.
Having experienced migraines herself for years following a whiplash injury, as well as recovering from hip injuries sustained from running, she has experienced first hand the importance of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, in helping her recovery.
Adele is an advocate for strength training for women, and believes everyone, especially the elderly, would benefit from strength training. Though she prefers running, she has personally experienced the benefits of strength training on her physical and mental well-being. Adele is also trained in Polestar Pilates and has benefited from it, having had scoliosis since her teenage years.
